The madness of Norwich Fashion Week is over for another year – it is always such a fabulous week showcasing the best fashion that this fine city has to offer and an exciting time for me with the launch of the first collection for The Stylist and The Collector .
Normally lots of outfits need to be planned and are worn to all the shows and events ready for the many photographers, Facebook and Instagram pictures but although outfits were planned unfortunately they went unworn as my health failed me – not only am I suffering with gallstones I fell foul to a cold bug from hell that meant from aside from the events that had to attend I took to my bed!!
Aside from the Vintage show that I help to organise with Kerry Curl this year I did something that I have always wanted to do curate a fashion exhibition so I joined forces with the very stylish vintage fashionista Shona Daly from Prim Vintage to do just that.
For our first event we chose a small gallery in the hear of Norwich Lanes – The Fairhurst Gallery and on the first day of Norwich Fashion Week we piled up the car with almost the entire contents of our bedrooms and dressing rooms and set to work creating “A Portrait in Vintage”
Friday evening we hosted a fabulous private view inviting some fashion bloggers, our sponsors Jane and Simon from Jane Richard Interiors, Winsor Bishop and Gilson Bailey Estate Agents with bubbly in hand lots of lovely people enjoyed the our vintage fashionista gallery.
