When it comes to skin care and make up my go to for the best products and a beauty hall to die for is independent department store – Jarrolds – with all my favourite brands – Mac, Bobbie Brown, Laura Mercier, Jo Malone, Aveda, Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury – along side many other perfumes, toiletries and treats to pamper myself with.
If you have been a follower of my blog you would know that I have decided to forgo the monthly ritual of dying my hair my once signature red and let the colour grow out and embrace the grey!! My hair is naturally curly and can be a tad hard to deal with at times and now that I have moved away from regular victory rolls for a more modern twist on vintage so with this new look I needed a new hairdresser so on recommendation from many friends I headed to Flint Hair and the lovely and talented stylist and colour specialist Katie – who works wonders with my unruly locks!!
One thing I have always done is look after my skin with good products and taking my make up off however drunk I am after a night out – well most of the time!! So when I hit the 50+ mark and after being ill for a while I decided that it was time the I had a regular facial to kick my skin back to health so again after a recommendation I now go to Your and Your Skin – Louise and her staff leave my skin feeling fabulous and the salon is so tranquil that the whole experience is total bliss.
One of the downsides of getting older is having to wear glasses to see what is in front of my face so one beauty treatment that is a must is getting my eyebrows waxed and while I am there I have them tinted too. When the Benefit Brow Bar opened in Norwich I was invited to go along and try it out and it has been my must have treatment ever since. There are two in Norwich – one in Debenhams and House of Fraser.
