Photos, fashion and Graduates!!

Anyone that follows my blog will know that will have seen posts on Norwich University of the Arts and know that I think that that it is the most wonderful hub of talent – we are so lucky to have such a wonderful educational and inspirational institution in this city that  lends such a diverse touch to the area.

After Graduate Fashion Week earlier in the month I was invited to a preview of the Graduate Shows not once but twice firstly for a Blogger Breakfast with a 9am start fuelled with strong coffee and pastries I got to chat to the fashion students, and wander around the various exhibitions.

After seeing the collections on the runway it was lovely to see them up close and see the real skill and how well made the pieces were – such attention to detail.

Loved the textiles and prints too – those cushions would look rather good on my sofa!!

That evening I headed back again for the evening friends and family preview with fizz flowing and catching up with fashion folk, photographers and interior designer friends.

Finishing off the Graduate adventure I  was honoured to be invited by my good friend Kerry Curl who graduated with a 1st in photography – which is hardly surprising as I have worked with her on many a shoot and she is incredibly talented to her private view in London.

As the event was at The Truman Brewery on Brick Lane which is full of vintage shops I had to take a little look of course!! I love this part of London with it’s vintage and mix of cultures all thrown in together!!

Of course I had to take a little look around the vintage shops in the area – this is a maze of underground dealers just near the Truman Brewery – I was in heaven – oh for a bigger bank balance I could have spent a fortune. I am planning another trip here soon with my lovely hubby to spend more time to explore.

The exhibition is set over 3 floors and full of wonderful photographs and moving image that I could have spent hours wandering around some of which I would love to have on my wall. Lots of amazing talent.  I will definitely put next year in my diary to take a look as it such a great FREE event that in so inspirational. You have one more day to visit the Norwich show as it ends on 5th July.
